When starting a website the most fundamental part is navigation. Without an effective navigational system in place, finding pages becomes difficult if not frustrating to the viewer.

Navigational systems should be thought out and planned for in advance.

The site's menu can be at the top, off to the side or both. Depending on how many pages and how large the site is will determine how many navigational links will be required.
